V. The Great Controversy Suite, No. 11 - Meet in the Clouds

The voice of God was heard declaring the day and hour of Jesus’ coming. The people of God listened, their faces lighted up with His glory. Soon in the east a small black cloud appeared. It was the cloud that surrounds the Savior. The King of kings descended on the cloud, wrapped in flaming fire. The earth trembled before Him. The voice of the Son of God called the sleeping saints from their graves. Throughout the earth the dead heard that voice, and they lived again, a great army of every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. From the prison house of death they came, clothed with immortal glory. All arose with the freshness and vigor of eternal youth. At the voice of God they were made immortal, and with the risen redeemed they were caught up to meet their Lord in the air. Angels carried little children to their mothers’ arms. Friends long separated by death were united, never to part again, and with songs of gladness they ascended together to the city of God.
